Inline Lever/Lever

Fab and Fix Windsor Inline Sprung Lever Door Handle
The door handles made of uPVC/Composite are made of sturdy materials and are suitable for multi point lock doors that require a strong design. The handles are inline and operate from the same spindle and screw fixings, so they are easily installed on doors made of uPVC/Composite, either new or old.
The design of the sprung lever allows the handle to be positioned and angled to ensure a comfortable experience and is suitable for all users. The handle has been tested to 200,000 cycles, this will ensure the quality of the finish and performance of the handle over time. The lever that is sprung can be shortened to fit a wider range of locks. This is particularly useful for narrower doors where the cylinder is further back from the door. A shorter lever is a good choice for doors that have latches that can be opened by a thumb turn located on the inside.
Lever Pad
A Lever Pad door handle made of upvc functions differently from lever-type handles that are found on the majority of doors. These handles are operated by a single spindle or by two spindles inline or offset. They are typically used on UPVC doors with double glazing. They are available in a range of finishes and variations.
The handles are available in a variety of finishes, including White, Chrome, and Gold. The finish meets BS EN 1670:2007 Grade 5 and is also resistant to corrosion, giving the handle a high level of durability and performance for the intended use.
All of the UPVC handle lever pad styles come with screws and a spindle, allowing them to be installed on any new or existing uPVC door. The backplate fixation centers of 211mm permit a larger handle, which is typically beneficial when replacing an old or damaged multi-point door lock mechanism. The handle levers come with springs, which can solve the problem of door handles that sag out of their horizontal position when they are not being used.
It is essential to match the dimensions of the PZ for both the multipoint lock as well as the uPVC doors when selecting the replacement UPVC spindle and handle. This measurement can also be referred to as 'handle centres' or cylinder centres'. It is important to match the correct handles.

Euro Cylinder
Cylinder locks are found on uPVC and other types of doors. The cylinder lock is operated by using a key that unlocks the cylinder's casing. This reveals pins that can be aligned with those inside the lock, allowing them to turn the revolving camera, thereby opening the door. Euro cylinders can be fitted with up to six pins. Internal and external doors require different levels of security.
The choice of cylinder is vital. It is based on the type of use your doors and handles will receive. For example, external doors should be fitted with a more secure cylinder whilst internal doors can be secured using a standard cylinder. Additionally, certain cylinders are available with extra features which can enhance security even more, like anti-drill or anti-bump properties.
To make sure that the euro cylinder is the right size for your door, it must be measured correctly. The cylinder should be measured from the central fixing screw hole to each end of the cylinder including the thumb turn if you have one. It is best to do this while the lock is in place however if this is not possible, you can remove it to measure. A cylinder that is protruding beyond the handle and escutcheon could be vulnerable to attacks, such as snapping locks, therefore it is essential that it is not too long.
The majority of modern cylinders have been made with bump and anti-drill features that are built into their design. These are designed to reduce attacks by forcing cylinders to rotate in a new direction. This will help to deflect attacks and ensure your door is secure.
There are also cylinders that are designed to withstand snapping. This is a common attack on cylinders. A special tool is used to break the break line of the lock, and the front of the cylinder is snapped off. This is a quicker and simpler method to gain access than through the use of a multipoint locking system. It also leaves no evidence of the break-in which could hinder insurance claims.
Spring Cassette
The spring cassette is positioned in the base of your door handle's backplate, supplying a spring-loaded solution that returns your multipoint lock handles to their rest position after usage. There was a time when handles didn't have a spring built into them and without this they can droop or drop once the locking mechanism has been disengaged. This simple component is the best way to address this issue. It also prevents your upvc door from becoming stuck in the closed or open position as they are difficult to close manually.
These spring cassettes are specifically designed for use with sprung multipoint locks, they will not fit multipoint handles that are not sprung and you will need to have a custom hole cut into the backplate to allow them to fit (please see image for technical diagram). These cassettes are a replacement for damaged or missing cassettes in the backplate of uPVC door handles . They are available as one unit. They have a square-cut out that can accommodate an 8mm shaft.
These spring cassettes provide an excellent value solution to the problem of door handles that have become sagging. They are simple to put in and will increase the life span of your uPVC doors.
